Saline Removal FAQ'S

Saline Removal

Saline Removal is a non surgical gentle way to remove pigment that may have changed colour or been implanted into the skin incorrectly.

A solution is implanted into the skin using a course of very fine needles, this withdraws the pigments out through the top of the skin.

Depending on severity, several treatments may be needed, if a course of 3 is necessary cost may decrease at therapists discretion, these need to be paid in advance. Not all Cosmetic Eyebrow tattoos can be removed some will need laser if this is the case you will be advised after sending through photos if you are eligible for saline removal or not.

How Long do I have to wait between appointments?

For best results it is best to wait 8 weeks before another Saline removal treatment or before having your brows Re-tattooed

What will it look like?

Saline removal draws out colours in the pigment depending on so many variables the pigment may turn Salmon, Orange, Red, Black

until the scab falls off. Once the scab falls off you may still see pink this is the skin still healing.

How many session can I have?

I would not carry out more than 5 treatments on a client if it hasn't lifted by this time it more than likely wont with saline removal. I will not carry out saline removal on clients that will benefit more from laser

How do I know how many session I will need?

Due to so many variables it is hard to give a precise answer to this question, you will know after 8 wks healed if another session is needed.

Spot Removal

Not all clients need their entire tattoo removed if this is the case spot removal will be carried out. Discounts maybe applied at therapists discretion.

After Care

KEEP AREA CLEAN and open to the air. Do not cover with a Band-Aid and do not touch the area unless you just washed your hands

CLEANSE 2x daily with saline. Dampen a cotton pad or gauze with over the counter saline and blot the area to cleanse.

DO NOT ICE AS THIS CONSTRICTS THE BLOOD VESSELS. DO NOT SOAK the treated area in water. In and out of the shower avoiding getting area wet. If it does get wet, gently pat dry

NO BATHING, SWIMMING, SAUNAS, HOT TUBS, TANNING OR EXERCISING DO NOT DISRUPT, scratch or pick the scab. The unwanted pigment will be drawn up into the scab so it’s important to keep the scab as long as possible. Allow scab to fall off naturally

TREAT AREA WITH TLC. Do not do anything that could compromise or cause problems to the treated area

ONCE ALL SCABBING FALLS OFF apply one drop of Vitamin E Oil 3 to 4 times a day throughout the day for a minimum of 4 weeks.

DO NOT start applying the Vitamin E Oil until all scabs have naturally fallen off
